Payton Levine finished the year in the top spot for both the barrel racing and breakaway roping at the State High School Rodeo finals. This qualified her for the High School National finals which are being held in Gillette, Wyoming next month. “Since that trip is much closer than GA we are going and are anxious for her to compete on the national stage,” replied her mother, Christi Levine. “Last year she also qualified for nationals in the breakaway roping and won 1st place in the second round. It was pretty exciting!”
Payton’s brother Royce is also active in rodeo. At the state finals for Jr. High Royce finished 4th in the breakaway roping qualifying him for nationals.
