Race #2, originally scheduled for May 6th and postponed, was held on May 27th. While we had a little bit of rain, the event went well. Running the .4 mile “Ted” track, provided some very fast lap times and great racing. In Junior TaG (Touch and Go) Class, Gabe G. topped the podium with Parker R. in second, and Zach A in third. Junior had lots of close running and as always was a fun show!
Senior Tag had a fair turnout with 9 drivers entered, however James Rowen lost a motor early on and wasn’t able to continue. With 30 second lap times, drivers had to stay on their toes or risk being lapped, and with light rain, the track was slick but not wet enough for rain tires. Ultimately Chase Ballenger topped the podium with his dad next to him in second, and Ted L. in 3rd.
Shifter unfortunately had only 2 entries and Andy Anderson was force to drop from competition due to engine issues. Jerry Karr was granted 10 points for the class.
