Augusta Livestock 4H club is having a bake sale on Friday March 17 at 9:00 – 12:00 at the gas station.
“The cost of everything has gone up this year. They have doubled the dues, and even doubled the fees for attending the fair. We used to have enough just with the sales of the Christmas trees, but this year we will need to raise a little more,” stated Teresa Lane.
There are 16 kids at the moment, including 4 clover buds, which are kids under 8 years old. Some of them even come from Dearborn and The Bench. Most of these kids are doing some kind of animal, including chickens, steers, pigs, and sheep.
So come out Friday March 17th and help support these amazing kids. This sale will not only help the kids raise money for the fair, but also give them a chance to learn about marketing and public relations. There will be a variety of delicious baked goods and all available for donations. There is no school on this day, and what better way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, than to support your local 4H kids. “We will be here until noon, or until we run out of stuff” concluded Teresa.
