First Thursday of the month, July 6 at historic Fort Shaw, # 1 School Loop, Fort Shaw, MT. Sgt. Dennis Borud will present/discuss the Indian wars from 1866 until 1877. Sgt Borud has participated in reenactments of historical events including the American Civil War, The Fur Trade and the Indian Wars. He will discuss the equipment, lifestyle, customs and manners of the soldier in the American West. This will include food, clothing, duties and hardships of the soldier at the Post.
Event is free and is scheduled at 2:00 pm till 4:30 at the historic Fort at Fort Shaw.
All buildings are open for tours as well.
