Latigo and Lace

Posted on November 21, 2022November 19, 2022 by Karen McIlwain

Latigo & Lace was started in 1992 as 6 ladies came together. With each of them bringing their own ideas, the place became the unique treasure we know it as today. As time went on, each of the ladies moved on to other adventures with Sara Walsh being the last of them. When Sarah decided it was time for her to move on as well, she almost closed the store. As Christi Levine was born and raised in Augusta, she just couldn’t bear to see the little store close. She and Jason decided to buy it in 2012 to keep the art filled treasure going.

Latigo & Lace currently has approximately 300 vendors, including Frank Hagel, Ron and Echo Ukrainetz, Kelly Peacock, Ross Mosher, Colleen Farnsworth, and Cathy Dombrovske. With a wide variety of items such as photography, paintings, unique jewelry, pottery, personal care products, and even used and collectable books.  . They are quite full at the moment but always willing to look at new artists. They are open 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm, and closed January and February.

Customer appreciation day is November 26th from 10 – 5. Come in and pick up a “Latigo Loves you” card, look on the other side see what discount you have won for your purchase. Latigo also has the best coffee bar in town, so stop in, have some coffee, and browse around the local artists treasures.

Keep watching The Augusta Breeze, as we bring you the Latigo & Lace Artist Showcase. In each future issues, we will highlight an artist from our amazing little store.
