The Getaway Salon

Posted on January 16, 2023January 16, 2023 by Karen McIlwain

Have you seen the new nail salon in town? Mary Lewenight has just opened The Getaway Salon the 1st week in December, and she is so excited. The Getaway Salon is the newest place to go for your manicure and pedicure needs.

Mary worked in the health insurance industry for 15 years, then decided it was time to go back to something she really loved doing.

The Getaway Salon is located behind the old Mel’s Diner, with the entrance in the alleyway on the Buckhorn side. She is open Monday through Wednesday 9-5. Wednesdays are Walk in Wednesday, so no appointments are scheduled for this day. If you need something done right away, step in and Mary will do her best to accommodate you. She is also open every other Friday and Saturday, Friday being 9-4 and Saturday being 10-3. Outside hours are also available if someone needs something done.

The Getaway Salon is also a great place to pick up many of your retail care products including soaps, lotions, and cuticle oils.

When asked how she is feeling about her new shop, Mary replied, “It’s a great experience opening my own business. I am beyond flattered at the wonderful reception I have received from this wonderful community.”

Mary has been living in Augusta for just over 8 years now and hopes to stay here for a long time.
